The Virtual Sculpture Garden does not claim ownership of the works submitted; those rights are maintained by the copyright holder(s). Individuals who submit works to the Virtual Sculpture Garden are either the copyright holder of all component parts of that work or are posting the work under license from a copyright owner. By submitting to the Garden, they affirm that the artwork does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right. Artwork may be removed by request at any time by emailing vrgarden-g@vt.edu. By submitting to the Virtual Sculpture Garden, you are stating that the artwork submitted adheres to Virginia Tech's Principals of Community, and does not contain content that is unlawful, threatening, menacing, abusive, harmful, an invasion of privacy or publicity rights, defamatory, libelous, vulgar, illegal, or otherwise objectionable.

Usage: Your artwork may appear in promotional materials as a part of the garden.

Artworks submitted will be put on display in the Virtual Sculpture Garden. While their artwork is on display, the artist grants the Virtual Sculpture Garden the right to use their work in photos, videos, or other digital captures of the garden for the purposes of the promotion or communication about the Virtual Sculpture Garden.

Service: We may need to alter artwork to fit the technical requirements of the Garden.

The Virtual Sculpture Garden reserves the right to make minor alterations to the submitted artwork to ensure it is able to exist in the environment of the Garden. These changes may take place on ingest, or as the Garden is updated to ensure the piece retains its ability to exist in the space. If minor alterations cannot ensure an artwork's ability to exist in the environment, it will be removed and the artist will be notified. The Virtual Sculpture Garden reserves the right to remove artworks from the Garden at any time and without notice. If you have any questions about this statement, please email vrgarden-g@vt.edu.
